November 3, 2026 to November 5, 2026

We are proud to share that Winnipeg will be hosting the 2026 National Conference on Ending Homelessness, organized by the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness (CAEH) in collaboration with End Homelessness Winnipeg and community organizations working in the sector. CAEH26 brings together communities, organizations, direct service workers, advocates, leaders, and people with lived and living experience to learn from one another, find inspiration, and walk away with actionable tools to strengthen the work to end homelessness. There is no more fitting city for this gathering. Winnipeg's most recent street census found at least 2,469 people experiencing homelessness in the city, the highest number recorded since surveys began in 2015, and Indigenous peoples remain vastly over-represented, making up nearly 80% of those experiencing homelessness here. Hosting this national conversation in Winnipeg is not only timely but necessary.
As a city at the centre of both the housing crisis and the urgent call for Indigenous-led solutions, Winnipeg offers a powerful and grounding backdrop for the work ahead. End Homelessness Winnipeg has been advancing research into the unique experiences of Indigenous peoples experiencing homelessness, identifying systemic barriers and culturally responsive solutions, making our community an active contributor to the national dialogue. The housing crisis is driving burnout across the sector while more Canadians than ever are experiencing the trauma of homelessness, and CAEH26 is the space where that energy is transformed into collective action.
