Description

Astum Api Niikinaahk is a Housing Supports and Support Services project operated by Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata. The project provides 22 low-barrier, affordable permanent supportive housing units, including four accessible units. These units are specifically designed for individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness or those at risk of becoming homeless. The facility includes a lodge that delivers a range of cultural services and programs, creating a supportive and enriching environment for residents.

The project prioritizes round-the-clock staff availability to offer individualized and flexible supports for residents facing significant challenges, including physical or mental health issues, disabilities, or substance abuse. This constant support is essential in addressing the complex needs of the residents, ensuring they always receive appropriate care and assistance.
