Bridges Back, a Housing Supports, Prevention/Shelter Diversion and Support Services project operated by Ndinawemaaganag Endaawaad, serves youth aged 13-24 who are at risk or currently experiencing homelessness. This program actively engages those in unstable conditions, including street homelessness, shelters, and transitional housing, to provide critical crisis intervention and stabilization.
The initiative addresses key barriers to independent living that many youths face, such as underdeveloped life skills, inadequate education, and poor physical and emotional health. These challenges are often compounded by a lack of necessary support and resources, making the transition to independent living difficult for these young individuals.
Employing a holistic, integrated approach, Bridges Back operates within Tina's Safe Home and the Youth Resource Space to offer comprehensive support. This support tackles the social, emotional, and physical challenges these youth face. By providing robust, multifaceted support, the program aims to transition youth from crisis to stability, thereby fostering independence and enhancing long-term well-being.
