Description

Reaching Home funding supports a centralized fund to address the increased costs of supporting homeless individuals during extreme weather events, such as extreme heat, cold, or severe storms.

Developed with the recommendation of CAB funding is provided to member agencies for services needed during weather advisories, covering preparation, response, and recovery activities related to extreme weather events and emergency issues like building closures or fire.

Reaching Home also provides funding for the coordination and implementation of Winnipeg's Point-in-Time Count. This work strengthens the city's ability to track and respond to homelessness, contributing to the broader efforts of reducing homelessness through coordinated community action.
