Homelessness Prevention through Financial Empowerment is a Prevention/ Shelter Diversion project operated by SEED Winnipeg Inc. in collaboration with Community Financial Counselling Services (CFCS), the project is dedicated to enhancing housing stability for financially vulnerable community members who are at risk of homelessness.
SEED Winnipeg's project offers a broad spectrum of financial empowerment services, including tax filing assistance, benefits navigation, financial literacy education, and access to essential banking services. A unique feature of the project is the organization of financial empowerment drop-in days, which bring together a diverse array of service providers, including government agencies, at accessible community locations.
