Case Management Training

Training Description:

Learn how to effectively manage client case information in HIFIS through this practical, hands-on training. Participants will gain the skills to create and manage cases, identify appropriate client goals, document sessions, record service time, enter case notes, and maintain accurate client records.

The workshop also covers key HIFIS modules, including Group Activities and Goods & Services, with a focus on data entry requirements for Reaching Home-funded organizations delivering Social and Community Integration, Economic Integration, and Prevention/Diversion services.

NOTE: HIFIS training is provided for staff at End Homelessness Winnipeg's HIFIS utilizing partner agencies free of charge.

Prerequisites:

  • Valid PHIA Certificate (Direct Version), Signed HIFIS User Pledge, and Client Information training, or recent experience using HIFIS.
  • Client Information training, or recent experience using HIFIS.

Trainer:

Tushar Raichura - HIFIS Stakeholder Relations and Support (HIFIS Trainer)

Trainer Bio:

Tushar Raichura has been working as the HIFIS Trainer at End Homelessness Image of Tushar Winnipeg for the last three years and has engaged in developing and training workflows and documentation with various organizations throughout his IT Career. For the past 26 years Tushar has worked as an IT specialist with various individuals, community groups and organizations. Following a contract with St Amant Centre where Tushar had the privilege of working with the disability community, he decided to return to school. He completed the Urban and Inner-City Studies Program in 2022 and joined End Homelessness Winnipeg shortly thereafter.

Tushar has a specific interest in decolonization and policies that drive the intersection of poverty and homelessness. Tushar grew up in Winnipeg having immigrated from Uganda with his family at a young age. Before becoming an IT specialist, Tushar worked in the retail sector, and as a dog trainer for many years. Tushar possesses excellent communication skills and has been told he is able to explain complex "program matter' in a clear way that is accessible to anyone. In his spare time, Tushar enjoys spending time with his beloved canine friend Willow, playing the guitar and hanging out with friends.
