A sustainable and adequate supply of appropriate deeply affordable and supportive housing is essential to reducing and ultimately ending homelessness in Winnipeg.

Housing supply directly impacts the ability to respond to the needs of individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Currently, the lack of suitable housing options remains the most significant barrier to achieving lasting housing stability for many in our community.

To help close these gaps along Winnipeg's housing continuum, End Homelessness Winnipeg's Housing Supply Manager works in close partnership with the Housing Supply Action Committee and individuals with lived experience of homelessness. Their insights are instrumental in identifying the types of housing needed and responsive to the realities faced by our unsheltered relatives.

Guided by this lived expertise, End Homelessness Winnipeg collaborates with partner organizations to transform ideas into innovative, culturally appropriate, and locally responsive housing initiatives.

These solutions are tailored to support key priority populations, including:

  • People exiting unsheltered homelessness
  • Youth aging out of care
  • Women with children fleeing family violence

This collaborative, community-driven approach ensures that housing efforts are not only strategic and data-informed but also grounded in the real experiences and needs of those most affected by homelessness.
