Research, data and analysis play a critical role in guiding and assessing the impact of collective efforts to end homelessness in Winnipeg. This area of work was established with two key objectives:

  1. Research and Insight - To undertake community-informed research that explores the specific circumstances, needs, and systemic barriers faced by people experiencing homelessness in Winnipeg. This includes analyzing local trends, identifying gaps in services, and generating evidence-based recommendations to inform policies, programs, and investments.
  2. Monitoring and Alignment - To evaluate the effectiveness of local strategies and interventions by tracking outcomes, measuring progress, and identifying areas for improvement. This work ensures that community efforts remain aligned and that all partners are working toward common goals using shared indicators of success.

End Homelessness Winnipeg has led and participated in a variety of research initiatives that help us to better understand the experiences, needs and demographic characteristics of the people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Winnipeg.
